Metal Braces & More

Many Stacy Wolf Orthodontics patients that we treat choose traditional metal braces to straighten their teeth.

Metal braces are the most common type of orthodontic treatment, but you have other options, too.

After your first free consultation, Dr. Wolf will talk to you about which treatment would be right for you based on your unique needs and smile goals.

Fixed vs. Removable Appliances

At Stacy Wolf Orthodontics, we believe you deserve to be well informed about your treatment.

As a part of that, it’s important to understand the difference between fixed and removable appliances. Fixed appliances, like braces, are attached to your teeth and aren’t taken off until you complete your treatment.

Like Invisalign’s aligner system, removable appliances are worn about 20-22 hours a day, but you can easily take them off.

Besides the obvious differences, Dr. Wolf uses Invisalign aligners to treat mild to moderate orthodontic problems.

At Stacy Wolf Orthodontics, we generally use fixed appliances for treatment that is comprehensive and serious.

Invisalign

Do you want to straighten your teeth but don’t want to wear braces? Invisalign treatment allows us to correct orthodontics problems using removable clear plastic trays instead of traditional metal or clear braces for a truly unique and esthetic experience.

Clear Braces

Don’t think you want metal braces, but Invisalign doesn’t fit your lifestyle? Clear braces combine a subtle appearance and reliable results with fixed appliances for an option that blends in beautifully with your smile.

Metal Braces

Metal braces have come a long way in recent years. With new smaller designs, fun colored rubberband options, and hi-tech wires, they are a great, comfortable choice for kids, teens, or adults.
